Please, call your SO whatever freaking sappy, dorky, quirky, or childish nickname you want. But my god. Do not call your boyfriend/ girlfriend/ fiancé your husband/wife. That is one of the most annoying things to me. Like…shut up. You look like a fool. You are not married, go away. And on that note, the other annoying thing? “My Marine” “My Sailor” “My whogivesafuckwhattheirjobtitleis” people need to knock that shit off too.

Chris has finished 66% of his 5 year contract. Then the Marine Corps shall be behind us. I’ve decided. :P

One of the most common things I’ve heard from military so’s that they miss, while their SO is deployed, is making memories with them. I have heard that for a long time now. And, from what I have experienced, it doesn’t seem to be the case. I feel that Chris and I are still making memories together throughout this deployment. We may not be physically together, but that hasn’t stopped us from planning the future, making new memories, and having our relationship grow into something even more than what it was before. I appreciate the memories I have been able to make with him through our means of communication on this deployment. I miss being able to physically be with him, but I can still cherish, and appreciate the new things, and memories this deployment has brought to our relationship as well.
